• Thomas Martin

World-Class Mentorship & Masterclasses

During the festival, our students had the rare privilege of performing in intensive masterclasses led by three of the world’s most distinguished double bass masters and pedagogues:

• Thomas Martin — World-renowned soloist, former Principal Bassist of the London Symphony Orchestra, and internationally acclaimed pedagogue.

• Christine Hoock — Professor of Double Bass at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and internationally renowned soloist.

• Thierry Barbé — Principal Bassist of the Orchestre de l'Opéra National de Paris and Professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP).

Working directly with these masters gave our young bassists invaluable hands-on guidance in technical refinement, tone production, bow technique, and artistic interpretation on an international stage.
